Nancy Giffin

Instructor Biography:

A graduate of the UCLA Extension Landscape Architecture program in 1989, Nancy came to landscape architecture after attending California State University, Northridge, acting and costuming.  She became a licensed landscape architect in California (#3874) in 1991, and has had varied experience in master planning, large development work, slope stabilization and residential projects while working with MHK Group, Landscape Architecture and Planning. Since 1993, Nancy has worked to establish her own practice with an emphasis on residential projects. She currently teaches Design I: Theory and often urges students to take risks with their designs.  Nancy is interested in students investigating the power that imagery lends to design.
