My teaching goal is to show the student the great diversity of the profession of Landscape Architecture. I begin by stressing the importance of a “sound process” to design, graphics, construction, etc. This process will give the student a more defined opportunity to develop sound solutions that work or function at a higher level. At the same time I challenge the student to develop a design solution with a great sense of artistic expression. I share with the students how things are done in the profession in a more pragmatic manner. To instill in the students to a greater level, I try to share as much information as possible. This is to elevate the students to their potential in this very challenging and exciting field of Landscape Architecture.
